  • Special sales occur for items when incoming donations force us to clear floor space for the new items.  Watch our Calendar for special sales.
  • Sales that help the neighborhood.  Your purchases not only provide you with goods at bargain prices but the proceeds aid the needy in our community.

DINETTES. This table and chair set is typical of furniture that arrives daily.  In addition, you will find desks, bookcases, media centers, lighting, baby cribs, easy chairs, chaises, patio furniture and other fine furniture.  Furniture is the most popular item sold in Second Blessing.  Since the inventory changes daily it pays to shop often.
SOFAS & COUCHES. Luxurious sofas such as the one pictured at right will find a place in any home.  Furniture of course is donated in varying condition but many items are in "excellent" shape.  Our staff will assist in loading purchases.  The ministry also offers furniture delivery at minimal cost.
FINE FURNITURE. On any given day you may have several fine articles of furniture to choose from.  Here we see a variety of sofas of differing material and colors.  Shoppers can match the decor of their home.  Many Second Blessing shoppers are repeat customers and find shopping our showroom quick and inexpensive.  Furniture is received from donations made directly to Second Blessing Store.
BOOKS. Our specialized book department always has a large selection of paperbacks and hardcover books.  Books make great gift items for those on your birthday and holiday lists.  The Books and Media Section offers items priced generally below other used or discount bookstores.  The book department offers a wealth of paperbacks by well known authors.  Prices for books are written inside the front cover.
INSPIRATIONAL AND SPECIAL TOPIC BOOKS. Our inspirational and Christian books are a favorite for those seeking enrichment for themselves or others.  Many of the books are provided through the generosity of our member  churches and their congregations.  Those interested in an inductive study of the Bible will find items of value.  Other popular subjects include Arts and Crafts, Biography, Business  Investment, Childrens stories, Cooking, Diet, Health and Medicine, History, Home Improvement, Mystery, Philosophy, Reference, Science and Nature, Science Fiction, Self-Help, Sports, Technology and Travel.  We constantly receive a nice selection of "coffee table" books that sell for a fraction of retail.  Available often are complete Encyclopedia sets and "hard to locate" special series books such as "Time-Life" series.
CLOTHING. Clothes account for nearly one half of the showroom floor space.  Available in stock are various types of outerwear garments.  The customer will find items for men, women and children.  Our clothes department includes men's dress and casual shirts, slacks, belts, coats, sweaters, shoes and work clothes.  Likewise, women's dress and casual wear including many fine items and Children's wear for any age or size is usually available.  All are generally at bargain prices  and below that in retail or discount stores.  At right, are examples of better women's dresses.  Fitting rooms are available for the convenience of our shoppers.  The better items are extremely popular and many of our repeat shoppers come to the store exclusively to buy clothes for themselves and others.
BOUTIQUE CLOTHING. At right, Second Blessing offers a vast array of boutique clothing.  A large selection of fine clothing items are reasonably priced.  Our boutique area (women's clothing and shoes) is a popular department with the women.  Cash, personal checks or major credit cards are accepted.  Customers are encouraged to try on all clothing since Second Blessing does not have a refund policy.  All purchases are final.  Credit card total must be greater than $15.
A fine selection of men's wear includes both dress, casual and work wear.  A shopper will find a large selection of coats, suits, jackets, belts and shoes All clothing garments are inspected for tears,  stains, etc.  before being placed on the showroom floor. Only the finest, quality clothing will make it to the showroom.  Second Blessing floor attendants are available at all times to answer your questions about pricing or merchandise. Please ask the register attendants for help.  If necessary, they will contact the store manager.  Quality customer service is our guarantee.  Second Blessing is proud of its large showroom floor, please do not leave clothes taken from the racks on the floor.  If not being purchased, please help us by returning items to their respective departments.  This not only includes clothes and garments but all merchandise.
COATS.  At fall season, many items such as fine  fur, suede and leather coats are available on the showroom floor.  Second Blessing is always pleased to offer quality merchandise at affordable prices.  All sales are final.  Fine minks, fox and rabbit are typically displayed beginning in September.  At this time, these items are kept in storage.  Anyone requesting to view merchandise prior to fall may do so.  Please contact the Second Blessing store manager.

APPLIANCE TESTING. Our appliance shelves are usually well stocked. Electronics and TVs are especially popular.  All electronics are tested in our "repair" shop and must pass a final inspection before being placed in the showroom.  All items must be in good working condition.  We have an expert team of volunteers in the repair department. Certain items with minor defects may be placed on the floor with defects noted.  We urge customers to test all electronic and mechanical items for satisfaction  before purchasing merchandise.  Second Blessing does not offer refunds.  All sales are final.  For  convenience, electrical outlets for testing your potential purchases are available in the electronic department. Please see a register attendant if you have problems locating an outlet for testing.  Computer equipment is bought "as is".

APPLIANCES. Small kitchen appliances such as coffee makers, blenders, mixers, choppers, food processors, can openers and electric knives are popular items.  Our general policy is to discount items over a period of time.    Price tags are dated.  The shelves carry a large selection of appliance merchandise.  The items are tested and certified as either fully operable or with noted defects before being placed in the showroom.  See a register attendant if you cannot locate an electrical outlet for testing a potential purchase.  No refunds are allowed once the appliance leaves the showroom floor.

LARGE APPLIANCES. Our showroom appliances may also include larger items such as microwave ovens.  Much larger appliances such as full ovens, cooktops and refrigerators are sold in our Saturday Sidewalk sales (not in our showroom). Please note the "No Refund" policy stated above for small appliances applies to all merchandise including the sidewalk sale merchandise.
Computers.   Our expanded computer department offers shoppers the opportunity to obtain certified used systems and equipment.  Second Blessing carries a fairly large selection to choose from.  Much of our computerware is donated by corporations upgrading their  systems.  This means that most of the equipment is in excellent working condition. "Internet ready" systems which include keyboard and monitor, as well as periphereal equipment and printers are also available.  Again, the selection changes from week to week and we find that these items are a rapid seller.  If you are at all interested in computers, whether you are a first time novice or looking to upgrade your current equipment it pays to come by frequently.
BOUTIQUE JEWELRY AND MERCHANDISE.  Our Boutique shop is a haven for those looking for specialized decorative items and jewelry.  We usually have a large supply of pins, rings, bracelets and necklaces.  Browsers will have a field day.  The majority of our selections are not expensive and very attractively priced. Volunteers are available at all times in the boutique area to assist you in making your selection.
The boutique area also includes a selection of better crystal and glassware.  These items make great wedding gifts, gifts for friends or for yourself.  Because of the donation source, the items are comparable to those from "estate sales" and may have unique history and origin.  Each  day we receive attractive items in fine condition which we sell for prices well below what you would pay in a department store.  Shoppers find great items to suit their personal decor.  The better items in the boutique area are displayed under glass.  Volunteers are always available to help you examine these items.  If the boutique attendant is not available, ask one of our register attendants for assistance.  Additional displays of fine merchandise are located in display cases that surround the cash register area.
DINING/COOKWARE. Our general table and dining ware sections offer a variety of place and table settings, utensils and glassware.  Our selection includes every-day plastic to fine china.  Oftentimes, exclusive items of antique origin will be available.  The picture at right shows the various complete sets of glass and table ware, as well as individual items.  All table and place settings are priced by the set and cannot be sold individually.  Parents are encouraged to keep small children from removing items on display.  As with all merchandise in the store, inventory changes from day to day.  Please contact our store manager for the availability of your china patterns.  Frequently, fine china pieces are donated to Second Blessing.
RECREATION. Our selection of athletic, exercise and sporting equipment varies greatly from day to day.  However, golf and tennis items are popular items in stock.  A selection of bicycles and exercise equipment such as treadmills, rowers, etc. can also be found in Second Blessing.  These items when purchased at retail stores can be very expensive.  At Second Blessing, our recreation equipment is available at affordable prices.
RARE ITEMS. As an example of the variety of items that may appear on any given day, we show at right an organ.  Our regular customers keep returning because of the rare items frequently available at Second Blessing.    If you are a visitor to garage sales, then you know the excitement of the hunt for the unusual.  Examples of the rare items donated to Second Blessing are musical instruments, oriental vases, sculptures, neon signs etc.
COLLECTIBLES. These dolls represent one of the many types of collectibles that enter our shop.  Those at right are priced at $20 each which is far below their probable worth on the collector's market.  The make a great addition to anyone  expanding their own doll collection.  On occasion, we will receive items deserving merit on the Antiques Roadshow.  In the past, we have received significant donations of vintage Comic Books and first edition or rare book and magazines.  If you are a collector, you will do well to visit the glass display cases which surround our register area.  Many items are sold at very affordable prices.  This allows our customers to walk away with a great buy at a bargain price.  For our customers, it is a great reason to keep coming back to Second Blessing.
ART. We always have a fairly significant and diverse offering of prints, portraits and wall hangings from which to choose.  Oftentimes, the frame alone is worth the purchase price.  At right, the displays can been seen.  In Second Blessing, they are located on the wall directly behind our check out counter.  The art area is a favored shopping area for our customers.
MUSIC.  Media includes classical as well as popular well known artists.  All items available for sale are in generally fine condition.  Merchandise is attractively priced  to fit your budget.  This department is popular with our collector.  This department keeps them returning for rarities.  The media shop (which includes vinyl records, cassettes and videos) is adjacent to the book section.  CDS are displayed in the Boutique area.

Saturday Sales. Shoppers are out in force for our weekly Saturday Sales.  Saturday is our sidewalk sale day.  Other sales are often in progress on Saturday.  Early shoppers find the bargain.  The Saturday sidewalk sale is filled with items at especially bargain prices.  Look for real bargains in clothing sold by the lot and pound, as well as furniture and sundries. Every week new and unusual items are to be found. At right is a set of fine dining chairs and furniture.

Store hours have also been expanded to include late hours on Thursdays.

Check our calendar for complete hours information.

OTHER ITEMS.  This is far from the end.  We also have a variety of items for children.  Toys, books and decorative items for a nursery.  Garden equipment, greeting cards, picture frames, office supplies,  woodwork, shop equipment, hand tools, etc. etc are to all be found.
